Hi! I’m Noel, aka the Skinny Pink Ninja. I am a 29-year-old graphic designer who lives in Colorado. I work for an athletic association as well as run my own freelance design business.
I love to travel, read, cook, movies, photography, music and hanging out with friends. I have a serious obsession with Paris, all things pink, polka dots, cats, shoes, otters, my Mac and fashion. I hate wildebeests, shorts, Crocs and Microsoft.
Using a food journal and old fashioned exercise, I have lost 65 pounds and maintained this loss for 18 months. I am here to help you with advice, nutrition tips and exercise suggestions to change your life and get started losing weight.
Who is the Skinny Pink Ninja?
The Skinny Pink Ninja is my fierce alter-ego. When I was overweight, I was discouraged and depressed that I couldn’t do anything. No clothes fit, and I had no physical stamina. Since I’ve lost weight, gotten in shape and now compete in races, I have christened my alter-ego the Pink Ninja. She is a girly girl with great fashion sense by day and a total badass ninja with mad skills by night.

Just came to tell you that I think you have the cutest blog name ever.
LOL Thanks!
God. Finally someone who isn’t on some stupid fad diet. Love it. Colorado is the best place for being active all year, so kudos to you for making it work! You look amazing.
Thank you! I’ve been there and done that with the fad diets. And guess what? All the weight came back on. The food journal/exercise method has worked really well for me, and I think it would for most people. No serious deprivation and I can still splurge. Everything in moderation, what a simple concept, yet it takes all of us dieters multiple tries/fails to get it right!
It is pretty hard to be a couch potato in Colorado that is for sure!
Congrats on your awesome weight loss. I am a fitness trainer and tell my clients all the time to keep a food log, trying to get them to do it is almost impossible. Kudos to you for being dedicated and disciplined! I love the name of your blog!
I can’t believe this! I just randomly check freshly pressed and find a blog by a skinny designer girl who runs!
I’m a skinny girl and I’m just starting out learning design And I’m just trying to start to run too. I’m going to visit your blog often now, for tips and stuff.
Also, nice name for your blog
Thank you! I have a graphic design site too: http://www.noeldolan.net
Running is definitely hard. I’ve been working out for several years, but only running for a few months. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done!
Noel
