Celebrate National Running Day

1 Jun

Friday – “Reader’s Choice” – 40 Random Facts you didn’t Know about Running….

Today is June 1, which is National Running Day. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or someone who’s always wanted to try, lace up your sneakers and hit the pavement today. Running is an amazing sport of accomplishment, fitness and camaraderie. It’s a sport that gives you a real, legal (tee hee) high. It’s something everyone can do. Today is a day to celebrate it.

I am going to run today because I can. Because my doctor said I couldn’t. I am going to celebrate the gift I was given of the sport of running and be grateful that I can do it. There are days where I hate it or don’t feel like going, but when I do go and I get the runner’s high and I feel how strong and powerful my legs are, well, it’s the best feeling in the world.

Join me in this wonderful celebration of athleticism and go for a run today.

I did take a little run today…but it was only home from school because it was so cold out! It did feel good though, and I got home quick!
